I want to use ideas expressed throughout abstract expressionism to create a visual signature, which can be interpreted as a brand. The Tulip Factory specifically explores the notion of art being found in the action of creating. The idea being that living within a space where complete works of art are consistently being created, enables the art to be constantly evolving while remaining true to the body of work, consistent with the visual signature. The constant production of art in this way can be seen as transforming the artist into a creative factory, producing high numbers of unique and individual works. I also wanted to bring the experience of owning fine art into people's lives in a way that is translatable across all groups. The Tulip Factory brings original artworks together with closed edition products to create art that appeals to a broader audience.
